Indoor Aquatics Center in Lake Nona — Four Pools, One Membership

If you’ve been searching for an indoor swimming pool near you, your search ends at Lake Nona Performance Club. LNPC members have access to a 6-lane lap pool, a warm-water therapy pool, a zero-entry family pool with a water slide, and a whirlpool, all under one roof, all year round.

More Than a Pool — It's a Complete Aquatics Center

Most gyms near Orlando offer a single pool and call it an aquatics program. Lake Nona Performance Club gives you four distinct water environments, each temperature-controlled and specifically designed for a different goal.

Whether you’re training for a triathlon, recovering from knee surgery, teaching your toddler to swim, or soaking sore muscles after leg day, there’s a pool at LNPC designed specifically for what you need.

Our aquatics center serves all fitness levels and age groups through swim instruction, injury rehabilitation, water safety classes, aqua fitness programming, and more.

Every pool uses Infrared Wave purification technology combined with low-level chlorination, designed to support cleaner water that may be gentler on skin and eyes compared to traditional chlorine-heavy pool systems.

Four Pools, Four Purposes

Lap Pool

Lap Pool

6 lanes, 25 meters
Temperature: 78°F
Max depth: 5 feet
Ideal for lap swimming, water jogging, competitive training, and structured aqua workouts
Pool accessories available: kickboards, jog belts, lap clocks, aqua dumbbells, and aqua fitness gloves

Hours: Mon–Fri 5:30 am–10 pm | Sat–Sun 7 am–6 pm

Whether you’re a competitive swimmer refining your stroke or a member looking for a full-body, zero-impact cardio session, the lap pool delivers a performance-grade environment without the crowding of public recreation centers.

Zero-entry family pool with water slide and fountain features at LNPC

Family Pool

Zero-entry design (walk-in access, no ladder required)
Temperature: 82–84°F
Max depth: 3.5 feet
Features: water slide, fountain feature, and a Nano Wall that opens to the outdoors

Hours: Mon–Fri 1 pm–9 pm | Sat–Sun 9 am–5 pm

Designed for families with young children, the zero-entry family pool is heated to a comfortable 82–84°F and features a water slide and interactive fountain. The retractable Nano Wall opens the space to an outdoor environment — creating one of Orlando’s most unique indoor family pool experiences.

Warm water therapy pool maintained at 88 degrees at LNPC aquatics center

Therapy Pool

Temperature: 88°F
Max depth: 4.5 feet
Purpose-built for injury rehabilitation, joint mobility, and therapeutic movement
Hours: Mon–Fri 5:30 am–10 pm | Sat–Sun 7 am–6 pm
The therapy pool is maintained at 88°F, a temperature range commonly used in warm-water rehabilitation settings. Members recovering from surgery, managing chronic joint conditions, or working through physical therapy protocols benefit from buoyancy-assisted movement that reduces load on joints while maintaining range of motion. It’s also an ideal environment for low-impact aqua fitness classes.

102-degree whirlpool for post-workout recovery at Lake Nona Performance Club

Whirlpool

Temperature: 102°F
Capacity: Up to 8 people
Ideal for post-workout muscle recovery, circulation, and stress relief
After a hard training session on the fitness floor, the indoor track, or in the lap pool, the whirlpool’s 102°F hydrotherapy supports muscle relaxation, reduced soreness, and improved circulation. It’s the finishing touch of a complete training day at LNPC.

Benefits of Indoor Pool Training

Swimming and aquatic exercise offer numerous health and wellness benefits for people of all ages. Here are some of the key advantages of training in an indoor aquatic environment.

Low-Impact Cardiovascular Fitness

Water buoyancy can significantly reduce impact on joints, some studies suggest by up to 90%, making swimming one of the lowest-impact full-body cardio options available — especially for members recovering from injury or managing joint conditions.

Faster muscle recovery — cold plunge & sauna benefit at Lake Nona Performance Club

Full-Body Muscular Strength

Water resistance engages every major muscle group simultaneously. A single lap pool session works your core, shoulders, legs, and back without the joint loading of weight-bearing exercise.

Accelerated Injury Rehabilitation

Warm-water therapy at 88°F increases blood flow, reduces stiffness, and allows controlled range-of-motion exercises that would be difficult or painful on land.

Water Safety for All Ages

LNPC’s Learn to Swim program provides swim instruction and water safety education for children and adults — building confidence and potentially life-saving skills.

Stress Reduction & Mental Clarity

Water immersion has been associated with parasympathetic nervous system activation, which may help lower cortisol levels and support mental recovery. The whirlpool’s warmth can further enhance this effect through hydrotherapy.

Year-Round Indoor Training

Florida heat and afternoon storms don’t cancel pool day. LNPC’s climate-controlled indoor aquatics center provides consistent training conditions every day of the year.

Aquatics Programs at LNPC

LNPC’s aquatics center isn’t just a facility; it’s backed by structured programming:

  • Learn to Swim: Private and small-group instruction for all ages, covering stroke improvement, basic swimming skills, and water safety. Specially trained instructors focus on confidence building and drowning prevention.
  • Aqua Fitness Classes: Circuit-style pool workouts with punching bags, dumbbells, and resistance bands designed specifically for water use. Low-impact flexibility classes, Aqua Zumba, and more.
  • Water Safety Education: LNPC is committed to drowning prevention and community water safety awareness through specialized aquatic safety programming.
