Learn to Swim Lessons For All Levels
From first bubbles to flip turns, there’s a place in the water for every swimmer. Our Learn to Swim program runs in 8-week sessions with a built-in 9th make-up week, and progression is guided by our instructors as each swimmer masters the skills for their level.
Aqua Babies
Starting at 6 months old
Help your child become more comfortable with the aquatic environment. Parents will be in the water with their child learning basic safety tips for keeping both themselves and their child safe in the water. Through song and games, children will learn key water skills, such as:
• Submerging under water
• Blowing bubbles
• Independent arm and leg movement
• Floating on back
Level 1
Based on ability, not age
For children that have passed the aqua babies curriculum and are comfortable in the water without a parent. The child will work with our instructors on motor skills, physical development, and mental development, such as:
• Properly entering the pool
• Blowing bubbles
• Face submersion while retrieving an object
• Independent arm and leg movement
• Floating, front and back
• Jump into pool with assisted submersion
Level 2
Based on ability, not age
For children that have passed the Level 1 curriculum and are deck safe and aware but not yet water independent. The child will work with our instructors to become strong enough to support themselves in the water and will focus on becoming water independent and pool aware through:
• Front streamline with kick
• Front crawl with breath
• Transition from horizontal to vertical
• Transition from front to back stroke
• Retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool
• Tread water
• Jump in unassisted
Level 3
Based on ability, not age
For children that have passed the Level 2 curriculum and are deck safe and water independent. Children will work with our instructors on building skills such as a more distant swim, rotary breathing, and the breaststroke pull and kick, as well as:
• Distant flutter kick
• Understanding of side breathing
• Distant dolphin kick
• Elementary backstroke
• Flutter kick on back
• Breaststroke
Level 4
Based on ability, not age
For children that have passed the Level 3 curriculum and are deck safe, water independent, and can swim a full 25-meter lap of the pool. Children will work with our instructors in the Lap Pool on building skills such as a more distant swim, rotary breathing, and the breaststroke pull and kick, as well as:
• Develop backstroke
• Develop breastroke
• Butterfly
• Backstroke starts
• Flipturns
Swim Lesson Pricing & What’s Included
Learn to Swim is $240 per child, which covers 8 lessons plus a 9th week built in for make-ups, so a sick day or a family trip doesn’t cost you a lesson. Sessions are scheduled based on availability, and you do not need to be an LNPC member to enroll.
A few quick notes before your first class: swim caps are required, and swim diapers are required for any child who isn’t fully potty-trained.
LNPC Streamliners Competitive Swim Team
For children ages 8 and up who can swim 50 meters in the lap pool. Season includes swim practice, EDGE Sports Performance training, optional off-site dive practice, monthly swim meets, and an LNPC swim cap. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced practice levels are available and determined based on the coach’s recommendation.
Pricing is dependent on LNPC membership status, swim team level, and pay-in-full or monthly option.
Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons
Private and semi-private swim lessons are available for ages 6 months old through adults, for all levels and abilities. It’s our most personalized way to build skill and comfort in the water and on your schedule.

What does my child need to bring to swim lessons?
Swim diapers are required for any child who is not fully potty trained. A comfortable swimsuit is required, as well as a swim cap. As an alternative to a swim cap, hair must be pulled back fully off the face and not loose. Goggles are optional for levels 1-3, required for level 4. Towels are provided on site but must be returned prior to exiting the facility.
Do you offer swim lessons for adults?
Yes. Through our private and semi-private lessons, adults of any skill level, from complete beginners through triathlon training, can learn to swim or advance their skills in a supportive, low-pressure setting with an experienced LNPC instructor guiding every step.
Are the swim lessons indoors and year-round?
Yes. All lessons take place in our indoor, climate-controlled aquatics center, so Orlando weather and the seasons never interrupt your child’s progress. Swimmers learn consistently, week after week, all year long.
Does LNPC have a competitive swim team?
Yes, LNPC has two levels of the Streamliners Swim Team: the Fitness Team and the Competitive Team. Swimmers ages 7 and up who have completed level 4 and swim 50 meters can try out for either level team and enjoy structured practices and EDGE Sports Performance training. The competitive team will compete in monthly swim meets throughout central Florida.
