Hello! I am Hannah Boden, Member Services Manager of the Lake Nona Performance Club. I am originally from Montrose, Missouri, a small town south of Kansas City, Missouri. I attended the University of Missouri in Columbia where I met my significant other. Upon finishing my masters program we moved to the great state of Florida to escape the snow and ice Missouri has to offer during the bitter cold winter months.
We have two fun-loving, energetic Dalmatians, Marshall and Benson. Marshall is two and Benson is about six months old. Their favorite activities include sprinting around the dog park at full speed, and attempting to play fetch. They make life much more interesting and active! In our free time we enjoy exploring the beautiful state of Florida, going to local coffee shops, and road tripping to the beach.
Fitness in some form has always been a part of my life. I was exposed to sports at a young age such as basketball, softball and cross country. Sports came to a halt for me after tearing my ACL at age 14 and then again in the same leg at age 16. After rehabilitation I found a passion for strength training. My interests in the health/wellness and fitness field flourished even further in college while obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and then my Master’s Degree in Public Health.
I became more confident in myself, allowing for personal and professional growth. I even participated in fitness competitions at one point as part of my fitness journey. This pushed me out of my comfort zone even further as well as opened new doors to the fitness realm. I now embrace a more balanced lifestyle approach focusing on my overall health and wellbeing.
After learning more and having those experiences I found a healthier version of myself physically and mentally. Fitness became an even more important part of my life, and still is. Surrounding myself with those who supported a healthy lifestyle and encouraged growth was a big part of my overall wellbeing. From this point Public Health with an emphasis in community health and wellness programming was my area of interest within my degree.
Working with preschool children throughout my college career in a school setting focusing on education, along with health and nutrition education made me realize a passion for preventative health and education. I had further opportunities with other organizations to participate in volunteer work with children involving physical activity and education within different communities locally and globally.
I am eager to bring my positive experiences to the Lake Nona Performance Team. I am equally as excited to bring a sense of support to the community members and inclusiveness to the performance club atmosphere. Seeing others work toward and reach their goals is an amazing thing to be a part of, which I am very fortunate to experience. I am dedicated to leading the member services team in providing an excellent and personable service experience to those performers utilizing the club.
